Greenville, South Carolina - Alpha Phi Alpha Greenville Foundation (AGF) is planning for the 2015 Alpha Phi Alpha Leadership Development and Citizenship Educational Institute (LDCEI) package. This is an annual leadership development program where student from seven states will meet on the campus of Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia.
Please let us know if you are interested in your child attending this year’s event. We have only ten (10) sponsorships and they are on a first come first serve bases. Program Chair, Travis Smith, is asking that completed applications be in his possession by May 26, 2015.
"This is the foundation's effort to bring community youth to a college campus to develop their skills among students from across the South," said Smith. AGF has sent seventeen students over the last two years to the previous institutes.
Please note only ten (10) free openings (sponsorships) that are on a first come first served basis of a completed application.
|Instructions for AGF Sponsorships
Please print the application out and note that you will need two (2) letters of recommendation.
One from the schools Guidance Counselor and the second from an At-Large recommender. The At-Large recommendation can be from an Alpha Brother, Minister, Teacher, or anyone that can answer to the questions on the form. If the recommender needs more space to write the letter they may attach a separate letter to the application for submission.
The applications must be complete before we meet on May 26th. You will bring the completed application to a meeting location TBD on June 9 or 10th to be turned in to the local team. We will mail them with the check to the Southern Regional office before the due date of May 31st to be processed.
Please remember to only complete
the application by May 26th.

Who May Attend the Institute?
High School (9th - 12th grade) students who have demonstrated academic promise and leadership potential, and who are from any of the public or private school within the Southern Region of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
